Tracey D. Syphax

Tracey D. Syphax is President and CEO of two local firms, Capitol City Contracting, Inc., a construction company specializing in roofing, siding, windows and doors. The Phax Group, LLC. is a real estate development company. Mr. Syphax was educated in the Trenton Public Schoold system, and received his diploma in 1980. He later attended Mercer County Vocational School.

He is also a founding member and former Chairman of Father and Men United for a Better Trenton. Mr. Syhax also serves as Co-Chair for The Mayor's Office of Employment and Training (MOET), Co-Chair of Union Baptist Church Trustee Ministry. In addition his most proud program Minding Our Buiness (MOB) teaching 6th and 7th grade students in the Trenton Public schools how to start and run a business in which he is one of the founding board members.

Mr. Syphax has received many awards nationally and locally for not only his business success but his passion of returning to his community to uplift and encourage the next generation of entrepreneurs. Mr. Syphax is the former host of the weekly radio and TV show titled "Violence Serves No Purpose" on WIMG 1300 am and WZBN channel 25, and has been featured in numerous publications and magazines such as NJBiz and The Network Journal.

Mr. Syphax resides in the West Ward of Trenton with his wife of 25 years Margaret Syphax, he has a daugther Trachell, a son Marquis, and two granddaughters Brooklyn and Sanai.

Mr. Syphax is currently working on his Autobiography titled "From the Block to the Boardroom", due out in 2012.
