In 2022, the AACCNJ created the Mobile Academy to establish and maintain a level and equitable economic playing field throughout the state of New Jersey by augmenting and supplementing the training needs of New Jersey’s underserved workforce and business communities. Offered at churches, community centers, schools, parks, and other venues throughout New Jersey, and sometimes virtually, the Mobile Academy facilitates workshops, seminars, and panel discussions that enhance the competencies of New Jersey’s minority residents and minority-owned businesses while ultimately improving the economic competitiveness of the state.

The “I AM” Youth Leadership Program offers leadership and job-readiness training; life-skills training; direct interaction with professionals from various industries; classroom mentorship, role playing, case studies, and interactive activities; career development workshops; and a closing ceremony with individual letters of recommendation and certificates of achievement. To help address the educational/technological disparities underserved children face in their communities, AACCNJ launched NJ Kids4 Coding. The program teaches school-aged children (six to 13 years old) the basics of coding and game design and how they impact their lives, including potential career opportunities.

Launched in 2021, the Village Program addresses the financial disparities that New Jersey’s underserved families face. The eight-week program targets entire households by engaging all family members and teaching them the fundamentals of fiscal literacy and responsibility, job readiness, and job placement to better position them for growth and prosperity.
NJREP is an educational program designed to create successful pathways to entrepreneurship and local business opportunities for previously incarcerated individuals who are reentering society. The eight-week curriculum includes topics such as: The Ethical Entrepreneur, Recognizing Opportunity, Market Research,
Product Marketing, Communication and Social Media, Selling Success, Public Speaking, The Art of Funding, and much more.
AACCNJ offers a job-preparedness program to juniors and seniors who attend alternative high schools. The curriculum covers first impressions, the job application process, workplace etiquette, financial literacy, self-care, and time management. Other services include career coaching and job placement. Upon completing all components of the program, participants receive referrals for employment and may earn credits toward their high school diplomas.
The Mobile Academy career fairs connect jobseekers to hiring employers from various industries. The career fairs feature work-readiness workshops on résumé writing and LinkedIn optimization and offer free haircuts, headshots for professional online profiles, and other services that are useful to jobseekers.
