NJ Reentry Entrepreneurial Program (NJREP)

AACCNJ’s Mobile Academy provides persons who are incarcerated and will soon be returning to their communities all the building blocks they need to launch successful businesses. The program offers eight, four-hour, in-person workshops on the role and characteristics of an entrepreneur, negotiations, communications, financial tools, marketing, management, leadership, and startup plan development and presentation. Participants also receive technical assistance and coaching sessions.  The program is currently being taught inside NJ Correctional Facilities.

Moving Forward

Through its Returning Citizens Entrepreneurship Training Program, AACCNJ provides individuals who recently returned or are soon to be returning to their communities all the building blocks they need to launch successful businesses. Launched in 2018, the program offers workshops on the role and characteristics of an entrepreneur, negotiations, communications, financial tools, marketing, management, leadership, and startup plan development and presentation. Participants also receive technical assistance and coaching sessions.


In 2022, AACCNJ received funding from Wells Fargo Bank and the New Jersey Department of Corrections (NJDOC) to underwrite its Returning Citizens Entrepreneurship Training Program.

Meet Your Instructors

Tracey Syphax

Tracey D. Syphax is President & CEO of Phax Group LLC, a multi-million dollar real estate development company, that owns and manages properties throughout Mercer County, NJ, and Philadelphia, PA. Mr. Syphax is an entrepreneur, advocate, and business maven who looks on the big issues of today in a brighter, more positive light.

CJ Meenan

C.J. Meenan is an entrepreneur and educator with over 30 years’ experience teaching entrepreneurship and starting small businesses. He holds an MBA from Babson College and is a leader in entrepreneurial education specializing in curriculum design for individuals as well as groups. He has designed entrepreneurship programs at all levels from elementary to adult learners. C.J. is certified in Driving Economic Growth Through Entrepreneurship Ecosystems through Babson Executive Education and is also a certified internal corporate coach.
